Clean Energy Center of Central California

The Clean Energy Center offers training to prepare people for jobs in the clean energy and green industry sector. Those companies and organizations who focus on providing cleaner sources of energy, energy efficient alternatives, and environmentally sustainable business solutions are helping work toward a better environment and energy independence for the United States.

The Clean Energy Center of California at the Kern Community College District strives to be a leader in the clean energy sector by developing a well-trained, educated workforce that meets industry needs and provides opportunities for those who are looking to enter the green sector.

The Clean Energy Center of California provides grant funded training programs, at no charge to individuals, designed to meet the industry's needs for skilled workers in Wind Energy, Solar Energy, and Utility Industry sessions.

Wells Fargo Check Presentation to Ron Spray, Veteran

Kern Community College District, Wells Fargo Partner to Train Local Veterans

April 3, 2013: Kern Community College District and Wells Fargo an innovative partnership to provide skills and business ownership training to local military veterans through the KCCD-led Clean Energy Training Program. The Veterans’ Solar Opportunity Project transitions military veterans into the workforce. Training enables veterans to secure well-compensated employment with contractors who install solar energy systems and provides information to vets about starting their own solar sales consulting business. The partnership marks the first time an entrepreneurship component will be provided in training to help veterans become potential business owners.
